WHAT WE DO

Lombardo Landscaping & Water Features, Inc (CRC1331625) is now offering Helical Pile Deep Foundation Systems for new construction and underpinning! We work with AB Chance materials to provide a 30-year transferrable warranty on American made and manufactured Helical Piles. We work closely with engineers to follow their recommended designs. We believe that a structurally sound foundation is the most important part of a structure, without it, everything else fails. We use the most up to date equipment and technology to provide top of the line quality and products.

If you have settlement, wall, tile or ceiling cracks contact Lombardo today at 239-634-5477 for your free assessment. We work closely with local geotechnical and structural engineers to create a solution for your settlement issues!

RESIDENTIAL & COMMERCIAL FOUNDATION SERVICES

Helical Pile Deep Foundation Systems For New Construction & Underpinning:

A helical pile is a prefabricated deep foundation solution suitable for supporting light and heavy structures, a helical pile consists of a round or square steel shaft with one or more bearing blades or helices. The helical pile is installed using a hydraulically powered torque motor. The resistance or load is measured using a digital torque monitor. The load is transferred from the shaft to the soils through the load bearing helices, the helical is then mechanically attached to the existing footing using an underpinning bracket or formed and poured in the new structure’s foundation.

ATLAS Resistance Piers:

ATLAS Resistance Piers are used to restore and/or stabilize homes and commercial structures that have settled, although lift is never guaranteed, ATLAS Resistance Piers are capable of lift up to 4”. ATLAS Resistance Piers require minimal equipment, personal and have a small footprint making it a great choice when larger equipment and excavation is not ideal.

Micropiles:

A micropile is a deep foundation system that  has a grout column constructed around the shaft of a square shaft helical pile, the micro pile is installed using the same process of a helical pile, by adding displacement plates on the shaft of the helical and mixing and pouring grout into the annulus of the pile, a grouted helical pile or micropile is created. The micropile’s benefits include a higher ultimate capacity more than a helical pile alone and there is no predrilling or spoil removal required.

Helical Tiebacks:

A helical tieback anchor provides lateral support for new or failing retaining walls, sea walls, sheet pile walls, bulkheads and precast concrete panels along with other conditions that require lateral stability that a helical alone cannot provide. Tieback wall systems are hydraulically installed and monitored until the helices are embedded in load bearing soils.

CHEMICAL GROUTING SERVICES

Soil Stabilization, Permeation Grouting & Void Filling:

A helical tieback anchor provides lateral support for new or failing retaining walls, sea walls, sheet pile walls, bulkheads and precast concrete panels along with other conditions that require lateral stability that a helical alone cannot provide. Tieback wall systems are hydraulically installed and monitored until the helices are embedded in load bearing soils.

Water Stop/Leak Seal:

Injection of hydrophobic or hydrophilic polyurethane chemical grouts or acrylate resins into concrete cracks and fissures to stop hairline to gushing leaks. Leaking concrete structures can be permanently repaired with concrete crack injection using polyurethanes or acrylate resins.

Structural Epoxy Injection:

Injection of low viscosity structural epoxy resin and gel for hairline to large concrete cracks. Cracking does not always affect structural performance, but it can adversely affect the durability of structures.

Common causes of concrete cracking are post cure and drying shrinkage, thermal stress, chemical reaction caused by alkali-reactive silica & sulfates, freezing and thaw cycles due to water expansion, corrosion of steel rebar, settlement, load stresses, construction short comings such as design and construction errors.

The incorporation of steel reinforcement within structural concrete allows these elements to function under both compression and tension, frequently resulting in tension-induced fracturing of the concrete in certain regions.

Water is a major contributor to concrete corrosion in parking garages, bridges, industrial facilities and more. Water, chloride and carbon dioxide can migrate deep into the structure  initiating corrosion of the reinforcement structure.

Water ingress, facilitated by fissures or compromised joints, often carries corrosive substances and chlorides that contribute to the degradation of concrete and the corrosion of steel reinforcements and rebar. Fortunately, epoxy concrete crack injection can address many of these concerns in structures exhibiting signs of such issues. Employing a proficient concrete repair team can frequently circumvent the need for a complete teardown.
